S.L.U.T.S.: SOVEREIGN LUST UNDOING TOTAL SHAME

In times when debates surrounding bodies and sexuality are at the forefront of public discourse, the exhibition S.L.U.T.S.: Sovereign Lust Undoing Total Shame presents a critical and celebratory reflection on desire and
sexuality, reclaiming a term historically used to stigmatize those who transgress sexual and gender norms.

Partially inspired by the radical critique of Valerie Solanas’ SCUM Manifesto, yet distinctively emphasizing resistance through pleasure, celebration, and conscious vulnerability, S.L.U.T.S. creates a space for exploration
and dialogue where diverse voices and experiences converge within a plural and collective environment— transforming shame into an opportunity for empowerment and aesthetic resistance.

The exhibition features works by six artists who approach the body from perspectives ranging from private intimacy to public performance. Each piece questions traditional boundaries of gender, identity, and representation, proposing vulnerability as a conscious and political form of resistance.
